DAILY
A pile of wisdom and experience is packed into the Twelve Steps. I have even compared the inspired forty minutes during which those steps were given to the Founder, to the Ten Tables of Law that were given to Moses on Mt. Sinai. Many skeptical folk are inclined to say,"Oh, this is a gathering of previous experience; it didn’t come all at once like that." I have no doubt about the previous experience entering in; but I know that there are inspired hours when people have been able to gather and put down compendia of truth in a fashion that can only be called "inspiration". It is an hour when men’s powers are at a high pitch and tension, and when the Spirit of God hovers near, making suggestions. I doubt that the Twelve Steps that have changed the course of existence in so many thousands of lives could have been the product of a mere hum, an insight, an observation. And they can and will bless anyone, alcoholic or not, who will follow through and be obedient to them. They are morally and spirituality and psychologically and practically sound as they can be.

1.Satisfaction in life is intertwining
Yes, you are vibrational beings first and foremost. But yes, you are here in this physical body. And yes, in this physical body you are causing an expansion of that which you are. And in the blending of the nonphysical and the physical you, the blending of the emotional you and the physical you, there is a satisfaction in life that cannot be achieved by being only nonphysical or by being only physical. In other words, an intertwining of
all that we all are is necessary for the joyful experience that you have come forth to live.

SEEDS FOR THE GARDEN OF YOUR MIND
To give without any reward, or any notice, has a special quality of its own
Anne Morrow Lindbergh
Listen to your feelings. They tell you when you need to take care of yourself, like finding a friend if you feel lonely, crying if you feel sad, singing and smiling if you feel happy, and acting frisky if you feel good.
Pat Palmer
Being happy doesn’t mean everything’s perfect, it just means you’ve decided to see beyond the imperfections.
"The spiritual journey, the path of recovery and personal growth, is a detoxification process in which we bring up and out the negative beliefs we have carried with us from the past and that now poison the present."
Marianne Williamson

As long as you’re recreating yourself, why not start by simply being GLAD! to be alive?

SOLITUDE
"People who take time to be alone usually have depth,
originality and quiet reserve."
John Miller
I need to be alone. I need time to listen to my thoughts, consider my opinions and strengthen my body. I need to pull away from my hectic life to be alone with me.
As a drinking alcoholic I hated to be alone. I became paranoiac about "leaving the fort" - today I accept that nobody is indispensable and that the world will still be there when I return from the desert!
Today I grow in the stillness of solitude. I can rest in that "still" part of me that is the essential me.
God is very close to me in the silence of self.
Lord, in the stillness of Your life, I am healed and rejuvenated.

A SCATTERING OF SEEDS
BUDDHISM
The deva said,
What is the greatest gain?
What is the greatest loss?
Which armor is invulnerable?
What is the best weapon?
The Blessed One replied,
The greatest gain is to give to others;
the greatest loss is to greedily receive without gratitude;
an invulnerable armor is patience;
the best weapon is wisdom.

HUMOR
Five surgeons are discussing who were the best patients to operate on.
The first surgeon says, ‘I like to see Accountants on my operating table because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered.’
The second responds, ‘Yeah, but you should try Electricians! Everything inside them is colour-coded.’
The third surgeon says, ‘No, I really think Librarians are the best; everything inside them is in alphabetical order.’
The fourth surgeon chimes in, ‘You know I like Construction Workers. Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over at the end, and when the job takes longer than you said it would.’
But the fifth surgeon shut them all up when he observed, ‘You’re all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There’s no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains, and no spine, and there are only two moving parts - the mouth and the asshole - and they are interchangeable’
