At first, I had to do it in the privacy of my bed when no one else was awake. Railroad tracks.
Be sure to read the final paragraph; your understanding of it will depend on the earlier part of the content.
The US standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches. That’s an exceedingly odd number.
Why was that gauge used? Because that’s the way they built them in England , and English expatriates built the US railroads.
Why did the English build them like that? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the pre-railroad tramways, and that’s the gauge they used..
Why did ‘they’ use that gauge then? Because the people who built the tramways used the same jigs and tools that they used for building wagons, which used that wheel spacing.
Why did the wagons have that particular odd wheel spacing? Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break on some of the old, long distance roads in
England , because that’s the spacing of the wheel ruts.
So who built those old rutted roads? Imperial Rome built the first long distance roads in Europe (and England ) for their legions. The roads have been used ever since.
And the ruts in the roads? Roman war chariots formed the initial ruts, which everyone else had to match for fear of destroying their wagon wheels. Since the chariots were made for Imperial Rome , they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing. Therefore the United States standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches is derived from the original specifications for an Imperial Roman war chariot. Bureaucracies live forever.
So the next time you are handed a specification/procedure/
Process and wonder ‘What horse’s ass came up with it?’, you may be exactly right. Imperial Roman army chariots were made just wide enough to accommodate the rear ends of two war horses. (Two horse’s asses.) Now, the twist to the story:
When you see a Space Shuttle sitting on its launch pad, there are two big booster rockets attached to the sides of the main fuel tank. These are solid rocket boosters, or SRB’s. The SRB’s are made by Thiokol at their factory in Utah . The engineers who designed the SRB’s would have preferred to make them a bit fatter, but the SRB’s had to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory happens to run through a tunnel in the mountains, and the SRB’s had to fit through that
Tunnel. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track, as you now know, is about as wide as two horses’ behinds.
So, a major Space Shuttle design feature of what is arguably the world’s most advanced transportation system was determined over two thousand years ago by the width of a horse’s ass. And you thought being a horse’s ass wasn’t important? Ancient horse’s asses control almost everything… And

Because this sounded so high-minded, I continued to stay away from the only business that I knew.
When, finally, my household went broke, I realized I hadn’t been able to face the prospect of going back to work. So I returned to Wall Street, and I have ever since been glad that I did. I needed to
rediscover that there are many fine people in New York’s financial district. Then, too, I needed the experience of staying sober in the very surroundings where alcohol had cut me down.

A: Well, they are de-railed. It is sort of like saying: Well, I have got my radio station set to 98.6, what happens to all of the songs that are being
broadcast on all of the other stations? And we say: "Who cares?"
Q: But in contrast you say that whenever your intentions are given with emotions, (they) will come eventually.
A: Well, everything that you want is sort of being held in escrow for you. And at any point you find vibrational alignment with it, it will come right
in. But you make a good point. So, to be fair, everything that you don’t want is held in escrow too. In other words, everything that you have been giving thought to is held out there is some sort of escrow and when you find
vibrational alignment with it, providing you do it long enough and steadily enough, it will make it’s way into your experience.
You see, here is a fun way to look at it. You live in this wonderful physical time/space reality where there is a buffer of time. So, you offer many, many thoughts about a subject before there is a manifestation. And as your feeling gets stronger about it, either positive or negative, that is
how you can feel that manifestation is getting closer and closer and closer.. And so, the better you feel then the closer that those things that
you want are coming. The worse you feel then the closer that the things that you don’t want are coming. That is why, in time, nothing is ever a surprise

None can live without toil and a craft that provides your needs is a blessing indeed. But if you toil without rest, fatigue and wearness will overtake you, and you will denied the joy that comes from labour’s end.
Speak quietly and kindly and be not forward with either opinions or advice. If you talk much, this will make you deaf to what others say, and you should know that there are few so wise that they cannot learn from others.
Be near when help is needed, but far when praise and thanks are being offered.
Take small account of might, wealth and fame, for they soon pass and are forgotten. Instead, nurture love within you and and strive to be a friend to all. Truly, compassion is a balm for many wounds.
Treasure silence when you find it, and while being mindful of your duties, set time aside, to be alone with yourself.
Cast off pretense and self-deception and see yourself as you really are.
Despite all appearances, no one is really evil. They are led astray by ignorance. If you ponder this truth always you will offer more light, rather then blame and condemnation.
You, no less than all beings have Buddha Nature within. Your essential Mind is pure. Therefore, when defilements cause you to stumble and fall, let not remose nor dark foreboding cast you down. Be of good cheer and with this understanding, summon strength and walk on.
Faith is like a lamp and wisdom makes the flame burn bright. Carry this lamp always and in good time the darkness will yield and you will abide in the Light.

Lost Her Some Friends When you are openly expressing what you know, isn’t it logical that, that Law of Attraction would do a more
emphatic job of, of bringing to you what matches and not bringing to you want doesn’t match? And so, we want to say to you that it’s not your openness.It’s not your preaching it that is causing them to hear it and then run from you. It’s that in your speaking of anything you amplify the vibration of it and in the amplification of the vibration of your alignment, those not in alignment can’t come near you. Did you get that? Because it’s different from the way it seems.
In other words, they’re not running because they don’t like to hear what you say, they, they would be running if you weren’t speaking it. It’s, it’s
as you become, here let’s describe it in this way.
So, let’s say that you’ve been hanging around with people and many of them are unhappy and some of them are happy.
And you are some of both. And because you are some of both, they all fit somewhere in your life. But then you decide to begin cleaning up your vibration. You decide to tune yourself more to the frequency of who you really are so you begin to feel more and more worthy. So, your unworthy cohorts aren’t comfortable around you or so it seems. But they’re not leaving because they are consciously saying,you’re comfortable in your worthiness and I’m not therefore I’m not going to be around you. Law of Attraction is just
not hooking you up like it once did because the unworthy part of you is no longer active in your vibration. It’s like that. Law of Attraction is the sifter and the sorter and the arranger, you see. That’s why we say, if you have one goal, we said it to our friend earlier, if you have one goal and that goal is to be in the Vortex, Law of Attraction will sort out everything else you see. And some worry and rightly so, that’s funnier than you know, that if they tune in to who they really are, that quite a few of the people that they have grown accustomed to hanging around with will not be hanging around. And so, they get a sort of
lonely and worried feeling about it. But we want you to know that while it is true that they won’t hang around, there is no reason for you to worry about being lonely because they will be replaced with those on your wave length, and also those people that you really care about because they care about you and you care about them, you can see them as you know they want to be, and anytime you hold someone as your object of attention while you are in your Vortex, you hold them but you hold the best of them in your experience. So, because every one is multidimensional and humans can be all over the place vibrationally. When you do the work to see them as you want them to be, or as you know they want to be, when you see them as whole and stable and thriving, even when they’re not, they’re attracted to you because you are in alignment with the part of them who is in the Vortex.

Life in the Australian Army…
Text of a letter from a kid from Eromanga to Mum and Dad. (For Those of you not in the know, Eromanga is a small town, west of Quilpie in the far south west of Queensland )
Dear Mum & Dad,
I am well. Hope youse are too. Tell me big brothers Doug and Phil that the Army is better than workin’ on the farm - tell them to get in bloody quick smart before the jobs are all gone! I was a bit slow in settling down at first, because ya don’t hafta get outta bed until 6am . But I like sleeping in now, cos all ya gotta do before brekky is make ya bed and shine ya boots and clean ya uniform. No bloody cows to milk, no calves to feed, no feed to stack - nothin’!! Ya have gotta shower though, but its not so bad, cos there’s lotsa hot water and even a light to see what ya doing! At brekky ya get cereal, fruit and eggs but there’s no kangaroo steaks or possum stew like wot Mum makes. You don’t get fed again until noon and by that time all the city boys are buggered because we’ve been on a ‘route
march’ - geez its only just like walking to the windmill in the back paddock!!
This one will kill me brothers Doug and Phil with laughter. I keep getting medals for shootin’ - dunno why. The bullseye is as big as a bloody possum’s bum and it don’t move and it’s not firing back at ya like the Johnsons did when our big scrubber bull got into their prize cows before the Ekka last year! All ya gotta do is make yourself comfortable and hit the target – it’s a piece of piss!! You don’t even load your own cartridges, they comes in little boxes, and ya don’t have to steady yourself against the rollbar of the roo shooting truck when you reload!
Sometimes ya gotta wrestle with the city boys and I gotta be real careful
cos they break easy - it’s not like fighting with Doug and Phil and Jack and Boori and Steve and Muzza all at once like we do at home after the muster.
Turns out I’m not a bad boxer either and it looks like I’m the best the platoon’s got, and I’ve only been beaten by this one bloke from the
Engineers - he’s 6 foot 5 and 15 stone and three pick handles across the shoulders and as ya know I’m only 5 foot 7 and eight stone wringin’ wet, but
I fought him till the other blokes carried me off to the boozer.
I can’t complain about the Army - tell the boys to get in quick before word gets around how bloody good it is.
